UK ID Card Bill Dies

With Prime Minister Tony Blair's announcement of an election on 5 May,Home Secretary Charles Clarke said on 5 April that the national ID card bill will not make it through the House of Lords before the election. Clarke said that Labour will make it an election manifesto and reintroduce the bill early in the next parliament.
