Naomi Colvin is a London-based writer and activist. She has been involved with the Occupy movement in London since the beginning of October 2011.
Naomi also founded the UK support campaign for accused WikiLeaks whistleblower Bradley Manning. She studied at the London School of Economics and worked in publishing before deciding to become a full-time campaigner. Her work has appeared in the Guardian and Financial Times and is currently volunteering at Privacy International as part of the Big Brother Incorporated investigation.
Hacking Team is a supplier of “lawful intercept” technology based in Milan. A regular attendee of surveillance industry conferences around the world, last year one of the company’s founding partners told the Guardian that Hacking Team had sold surveillance software to 30 countries across five continents.
