Australian school facial recognition company gets government funding
LoopLearn - a controversial school facial recognition start-up from Melbourne, Australia - have received an Accelerating Commercialisation grant from the Australian federal government.
The technology claims to currently be being trialed in 100 schools across Australia - though the company refuse to confirm which schools they claim due to 'commercial confidentiality'. The company also claims that only around 1% of parents were concerned by the technology when asked.
