Edison Inter-level School in Vietnam has deployed a facial recognition access control system for students, teachers and staff.
Faculty must register their face on a 'FaceDepot' device before being granted access through barriers, with the system holding 10,000 registered face templates and logs up to 200,000 entries.
The device also supports fingerprint, card and password authentication as alternatives to face matching, and includes anti-spoofing measures against printed photos, screen/video playback and 3D masks.
The school says that the goal is to restrict campus entry to authorised individuals only, as a security measure.
