Santa Fe Independent School District uses AI-based surveillance

The Santa Fe Independent School District is working with a company called AnyVision for AI-based surveillance.

The system works with an existing camera network to track certain faces, bodies or objects.

It can recognise people based on old photos, or if they are wearing hoodies or glasses – although it is less accurate in that situation.

The Santa Fe school district keeps data from the system stored locally rather than on the cloud.
