Portuguese data protection authority open investigation in to facial recognition test in school

Following questions from journalists the Portuguese data protection authority have opened an investigation into a three month trial of a facial recognition system carried out by United Lisbon International School. 

Though Paraná's government claimed the technology was approved by management, the school's owner has since claimed that: “The school does not use this tool”.
