Joshua Castellino

Chair Joshua Castellino is Professor of International & Comparative Law & Executive Dean of the College of Arts, Law & Social Sciences at Brunel University London. He served as Executive Director of Minority Rights Group International (2018-2024) after working in academic in various roles in the previous two decades. Joshua started his career as a journalist in Mumbai, India, before winning a Chevening Scholarship and completing his PhD (International Law) in 1998. He has published ten books and over a hundred articles on international law and human rights over two and a half decades in academia, including the well-known Minority Rights Series published by Oxford University Press. His latest book is entitled International Law & the Reconceptualization of Territorial Boundaries: In Pursuit of Perpetual Peace (Routledge, 2025).
